While September is technically not summer, with the magnificent weather, I was happy to say it felt like Paris in the summertime. We checked in to the hotel (La Manufacture) in the Latin Quarter early on Thursday morning. While waiting for our room, decided to explore the “Leftbank”. Full of cafés and boutique stores. Then on to the Jardins du Luxembourg to read and eat strawberries in the sun. Divine!
While I’d been to the Notre Dame Cathederal before, it’s such an amazing building, I just had to take another picture of it. There was also some pretty cool street art around.
On Friday we spent most of the day in Saint Germaine. More cafes and more boutiques. For dinner, we went to a reasonably fancy restaurant called “Market” near the Champs Élysées. Nice enough food, but the service was pretty bad. I don’t think they had enough staff for how full the restaurant was.
Saturday we spent shopping along the Champs Élysées. On Sunday, we hired a couple of bicycles, checked out Jim Morrison’s grave and enjoyed the last of the sunshine.
Paris was sooo hot! But I loved it. Our last stop was for a cool drink at an alchemy-themed bar near our hotel before heading back to Oslo.
What’s your favourite city to spend summer in? One of my favourites is Paris in the summertime.
